Nurse Supa Star

An overstuffed tummy with delicious unhealthy foods have always been the “norm” growing up with an Italian Mom.  I have always struggled with my weight and huge legs.  Somehow I still managed to be athletic and involved with sports.  The struggle to run and not always come in last still is real.  It is very hard to workout and run when you are overweight.

I’m a fighter, always have been.  I never want to give up and always try to give it my all.  In between working full time, raising 3 kids, and my husband, I’d strive to fit a work out in here and there.  Now that the kids are older, I realized how many pictures I missed out on because I was embarrassed of how I looked.  I’d look in the mirror and not recognize my own reflection.  Sad and disgusted I let myself get to this point, it was time to take care of me.

Scared I couldn’t fail myself anymore, I bravely set foot into Synergy Fitness and the angels introduced me to Rob.  From the start, he has been a positive, encouraging, and inspiring coach.  I have never had a trainer before and I can’t believe I waited this long.

I’m 43 years old now and have been married for 17 years.  We have 3 beautiful children ages 9, 12, & 13.  Deep inside I knew I wasn’t living up to my potential, something I think God has always wanted for me.  He has given me the precious gifts of patience and patients.  I am a registered nurse and I work in Cardiovascular Intensive Care.  Everyday I see people who struggle with health issues related to their diet and exercise.  If we’re lucky, we realize early on in life to make our mind, body, and soul a priority.  It took me a long time to realize that I am important enough to make time for myself to create a strong and fit body.

My goal is to stay humble, stay strong, and live up to my potential.  Life is too short not to be the BESTt you can be and enjoy everyday.  I’ve lost 40 pounds so far and am still facing a long journey to reach my goal.  Thankful for the support of my husband, kids, and my Coach Rob.
